The lounge: pale oak counters, cane chairs and tall plants in morning light

Cobble Hill · Brooklyn

An hour you don't have to be anything for.

Nails, waxing and massage in two rooms — one where the talking happens, one where it doesn't.

  • Manicures
  • Spa pedicures
  • Builder gel
  • Extensions
  • Brows & lashes
  • Waxing
  • Sugaring
  • Massage

room one

The Nail Lounge

Six seats, a wall of colour and a kettle that is always on. This is the sociable room — people come in pairs, the playlist is somebody's, and nobody minds if you take the call.

Everything is single-use or autoclaved in front of you. The files leave with you if you want them.

room two

The Quiet Room

One bed, one door, and no music you didn't choose. Waxing, sugaring and massage happen here — and so does any manicure you would rather have in silence.

Ask for the quiet room when you book. It costs nothing extra and it is the reason most people come back.

the three of us

Book a name, not a slot.

We each have a room we prefer and a treatment we are best at. None of us minds being asked for by name.

Amara in a sage linen apron against a parchment wall

Amara Osei

nail lounge · colour and builder gel

Nine years and a standing opinion about what your nail beds can actually hold. Ask her before you commit to a length — she will tell you straight.

Ruth in a cream linen shirt against a sage wall

Ruth Callahan

quiet room · waxing and sugaring

Trained in sugaring before anyone here asked for it. Works fast, talks only if you start, and will not book you against the clock.

Mei in a sage linen apron against a parchment wall

Mei Tanaka

both rooms · pedicures and brows

Does the long hour better than any of us — the second half never feels shorter than the first. Also the one who chose the plants.

What the regulars say

I booked the quiet room after a bad week and nobody asked me a single question for an hour. I have been back every month since.
Nadia K.The Long Hour, monthly
They opened the file packet in front of me without my asking. That is the whole reason I switched.
Deborah M.Manicure, every three weeks
First place that shaped my brows instead of just thinning them, and the price was on the website before I walked in.
