Salon & colour house · Lyon

Hair, taken seriously.

Maison Velours books one client per stylist, gives colour the whole afternoon it actually needs, and plans your hair by the season — not by the emergency.

The house

The chair is yours for the afternoon.

Most salons book colour the way airlines book seats — tight, hopeful and with someone waiting for yours. We schedule one client per stylist and give a colour day three unhurried hours, because rushed colour is how corrections are born.

Your first visit starts with tea and a consultation, not a gown and a basin. We look at what your hair has been through, where it should go this season, and what it will honestly cost to keep it there.

The colour diary

A season, not a session.

Good colour is a plan in four entries. We write yours at the first consultation and keep it in the book.

  1. The consult

Forty minutes, no basin. History, texture, the photos you're embarrassed to show — and an honest map of what's possible this season.

  2. The base

The foundation shade, set right once. Everything after builds on this afternoon, which is why it gets the whole afternoon.

  3. The dimension

Balayage, foils or both — light placed where your cut actually moves, painted by hand at the pace hand-painting takes.

  4. The gloss

Six weeks later: tone refreshed, shine sealed, plan adjusted. Forty-five minutes that make the base last a season.

Services

Priced for the time it takes.

Every price includes the consultation, the tea and a stylist who isn't watching the next chair.

Great hair is a plan, not a rescue.

The chairs

Three stylists, one book.

You book a person, and the diary follows the person. Choose your author.

Camille Roux

First chair · colour

Twenty years of colour and a firm rule: she will talk you out of black-to-platinum in one sitting, and she will be right.

Élodie Marchand

Second chair · cut & texture

Cuts curly hair dry, straight hair wet, and everything at the pace it grows. Keeps a photo diary of every client's best hair day.

Théo Berger

Third chair · the gloss

The maintenance specialist. Remembers your formula better than the book does, and the book is very good.

Diary excerpts

I used to book colour like a dentist appointment — dread, endure, repeat. Now it's the best afternoon of my quarter.
Inès LaurentColour day, quarterly
Camille talked me OUT of the expensive option at my consult. I've trusted her with everything since, which has cost me far more. Worth it.
Margaux D.The diary, year two
The gloss appointment is 45 minutes and it's the reason strangers ask about my colourist. I say I can't remember the name of the salon.
