Quarry works one material and works it properly. Benches, thresholds, fire surrounds and floors — cut from stone we chose at the seam, finished in our own shed.

The workshop
Hewn by hand.
Stone cut, dressed and set — benches, lintels and floors that outlast the house.
About
What we make
Step by step
From seam to site.
-
Choosing the block
We pick the stone standing in the yard — grain, bed and colour, before any saw runs.
-
The cutting shed
Sawn to the drawing, dressed by hand. Dust everywhere, tolerance nowhere.
-
Setting day
Templated, lifted, bedded and pointed. Then it's yours for a century.
Good to know
Questions, answered.
Do you work from architects' drawings?
Preferably. Send the drawing and we'll return a cutting list and a price within the week.
Can I visit the yard?
Yes — choosing your own block is the best hour of the project.
Does stone need maintenance?
Almost none. It weathers — that's not damage, that's the material telling the time.
