Rieke Brandt
Fine line & botanical
Draws like an engraver, tattoos like a watchmaker. Waitlist is real; the work explains it.

Custom tattoo studio · Hamburg
Ember Ink takes no walk-ins and sells nothing off a wall. Every piece is drawn for the body it will live on — one artist, one drawing, one owner.
The craft
A tattoo is a drawing that has to survive skin, sun and thirty years of your life — so the drawing gets the time. Two weeks, usually. You'll see it once for revisions, then never again until it's stencilled on and you're looking at it in the mirror.
We've turned down good money to copy other people's pieces, and we'll keep doing it. Your reference photos are a direction, not a destination.
From idea to ink
The process is the quality control. Every piece walks the same road.
Half an hour, free, no obligation. Bring references, scars, doubts. We mostly listen — the best pieces start as a story, not a picture.
Two weeks at the desk. One revision round is built in; the second costs a beer and an honest conversation about what you actually want.
Booked by the half or full day, never by the piece — rushing lines to fit a price is how regret gets made. Breaks whenever you need them.
Aftercare that fits on a card, a check-in at two weeks, and a free touch-up at six — because the healed tattoo is the real deliverable.
The artists
Book the artist whose work you'd wear even if it weren't yours.

Traditional & bold
Thick lines, four colours, built to age like the sailors intended. Will talk you out of tiny script on a forearm, kindly, once.
Blackwork & geometry
Patterns that follow the muscle instead of fighting it. Measures your arm three times before the first line.
Skin is the one gallery you can't rehang. We draw accordingly.
Sessions
The deposit is €100, comes off your final session, and moves with you if you reschedule with 48 hours' notice. That's the whole fine print.
€0 30 minutes
The idea, the placement, the honest talk about size. No obligation follows.
€420 up to 4 hours
Most single pieces live here — drawn, stencilled and inked in one sitting.
€780 up to 7 hours
Sleeves, back pieces and the projects that deserve a whole date on the calendar.
Healed & quoted
Rieke redrew my idea three times and the final looks nothing like my reference. It looks like me. That's the difference I was paying for.
Marco told me my first idea would look like a bruise in ten years. Rude, correct, and the reason I trust him with my whole arm now.
The six-week touch-up took eleven minutes and they still checked the healing like it was day one. Studios show you who they are after they've been paid.
Book
Consults are free and Tuesday to Saturday. Sessions are booked after the drawing is approved — the calendar respects the craft's order.
Visitors pick a artist, a date and a time here, then leave their details.
